ChatGPT can create a first version and analyse the material behind it in the same conversation. The quality depends less on a clever prompt than on giving it the real source, a clear outcome and a useful standard.
Start with the source. Attach a document, spreadsheet, image or presentation, then say what decision or deliverable it should support. “Read this” is vague. “Find the three largest cost movements and explain what may have caused them” gives the analysis a job.
For creation, name the output, audience and constraints. Ask for a one-page recommendation for the leadership team, a comparison table for a customer, or an image in a defined style and shape. Then refine it: challenge the assumptions, change the structure, or ask for a second option rather than starting again.
Before using the result, ask what it assumed, what is missing and how it reached the conclusion. Check important figures, dates and quotations against the original. If the analysis matters, inspect the calculation or chart behind it. On the web, Library helps you return to supported files and creations. A polished answer can still be wrong.
